Late 90's emo renegades, The Get Up Kids, make a come back to scene with their new feature title "Automatic." It's the first release off of the full-length, There Are Rules from their independent label, Quality Hill Records.
For such a revolutionary band, one that has shared the stage with names like Weezer and Green Day, the track is strikingly similar to the boring indie being handed out on Urban Outfitter's blog. There isn't much going on other than ambient chord progressions and flat lyrical work. If the alt scene is looking for a savior, The Get Up Kids just pulled a Judas. Music is officially dead.
